CEEAA Releases Engineering Education Accreditation Criteria(2024 Edition)

  China Engineering Education Accreditation?Association(CEEAA)unveiled the 2024 edition of the accreditation criteria for engineering education on Nov. 29,2024, which?was?approved by the 12th Session?of the 2nd CEEAA Council.

  The revision process began in September 2021 to implement the Graduate Attributes?and Professional Competencies (GAPC2021) issued by the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) and to?align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (UN-SDGs), CEEAA has initiated a comprehensive?review involving in-depth studies, investigative research, and numerous seminars.?A wide range of?feedback was sought to ensure?that a broad range of perspectives were incorporated into the final framework.

  The new criteria focus on developing students' computational thinking and application skills, with?an emphasis on encouraging?innovation and creativity in response to rapid technological advances. Additionally, the criteria aim to enhance students' adaptability in diverse and inclusive engineering environments.

  To ensure effective implementation, CEEAA will?organize training and workshops involving accreditation volunteers and Higher?Education Institutions(HEIs) to facilitate a thorough understanding and application of the new criterial.
